5. It Could Have Motion Controls After All

In the original advert we saw one of the actors using the Switch on an airplane, yet nowhere was the system seen being used with motion controls, nor has this been confirmed of denied since. It's led many to assume that because Wii games weren't being physically supported, the system was ditching motion controls.

Not specifically true. Instead, Arstechnica reports that upon closer inspection of the controllers in the ad (literal frame-by-frame stuff) you can see what appears to be an IR sensor on the bottom of the Joy-Con detachable controllers, which would sync up with the Switch tablet whenever it's housed in the home dock.

This was supported by Let's Play Video Games' Laura Dale, who noted that she had "sources within Ubisoft" that confirmed the motion tech. Whether this motion control stuff is for full, downloadable Wii games or just supplementary functionality for other titles, though, remains to be seen.
