1. Amiibos Are Still A Thing

Rejoice! Unlike Disney Infinity which bit the dust earlier in 2016, Nintendo's version of the whole "Toys to life" category is still going strong, and can be seen in the trailer - providing you kept your eyes peeled in the corner of one of the shots.

Now, as the Amiibos aren't connected the system and the Switch's main screen doesn't seem to have any IR sensors to interface with them, it remains to be seen how Amiibo functionality will work.

Still, at this stage one of Nintendo's reps told IGN that "If a Nintendo Switch game supports amiibo then the Nintendo Switch home gaming system will as well". Basically, no matter what, as Amiibos are responsible for a TON of cash Nintendo made last generation - because it certainly wasn't the Wii U - these beloved figures are going to be supported going forward.
