1. Minimising Random Encounters & Refilling Health Automatically

Resigned to only the Scholar class, there is a way to minimise the often overwhelming amount of random encounters if you're running low on health.

First up though, know that levelling up will refill your health, so it CAN be worth soldiering on.

If you're just wanting to play it safe though, acquire enough Scholar Job Points to buy two combat skills. Any two will do, as now you've got the option to purchase the passive skill, Evasive Manuvers.

While this doesn't reduce encounters altogether, a la Bravely Default, their frequency is demonstrably minimised. It might just be enough to get you to that next, progression-securing checkpoint.
