Fans often refer to Reaper as “Edgelord” on account of his gothic, skull-heavy appearance and tendency to say the type of things a 13 year old might think made them sound intimidating. Clearly, not everyone is convinced by his fashion choices, but that doesn’t stop Nevermore being an extremely cool skin.

Obviously a reference to Edgar Allen Poe, the skin sees Reaper adopt a raven-like appearance, including a mask like those worn by 17th-century plague doctors (hence the name of the outfit’s recolour skin). Even the character’s biggest critics can’t deny the skin looks awesome.

The brooding of Nevermore couldn’t be further away from the hilarity of El Blanco, which dresses Reaper as a crazed mariachi singer, complete with guitar. The developers missed a trick by not incorporating some appropriate sound effects into the skin’s ultimate ability.

Despite the official bio of the character treating him as an unknown entity, his Blackwatch Reyes skin outs his true identity as Gabriel Reyes, a close friend of Jack Morrison, also known as Soldier: 76. It seems rather a shame to reveal the past of such an enigmatic character, so thankfully Nevermore only adds to Reaper’s dark mystique.
