6. Hanzo – Okami
The heir to a crime syndicate, Hanzo was forced to murder his younger brother Genji, a move which led to him abandoning his post and roaming the world in an attempt to regain his honour.
Okami, the character’s best skin, is a literal representation of his time as a lone wolf, featuring heavy duty samurai-like armour and a white wolf skin headdress. Whilst wearing this skin the spirit dragons of Hanzo’s Dragon Strike ultimate ability are replaced with massive, howling wolves.
The character’s Young Hanzo skin does exactly what it says on the tin, and is notably more stoic and serious than the smirking Young Genji, hinting at the brother’s differing personalities. With a name like Cyberninja, you might imagine the skin to be one of the coolest in the game, but unfortunately, this is not the case. The designers definitely missed an opportunity to do something crazy with the concept, and instead delivered an underwhelming skin.
Cyberninja has a boring grey and orange colour scheme (though the techno-tattoos are a nice touch) which simply gives Hanzo an exoskeleton similar to Genji’s. Luckily this disappointment is more than made up for by the brilliance of Okami.
