Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018: Ranking Every Skin

Turning this killer cowboy into a skeleton just in time for Red Dead Redemption 2 was a genius piece of marketing. Many people will have been replaying the brilliant first Red Dead Redemption game, including the essential DLC Undead Nightmare. With the cowboys and zombies crossover considered one of the greatest DLCs of all time, this skin will definitely have set some nostalgia alarms blaring.

McCree marks the start of a severe spike in quality. The top five are all, for various reasons, considerably better than those that came before. It might even seem a little harsh for McCree’s awesome skin to place just one above the very meh Moira, but with Sherlock, Scrooge and last Halloween’s Van Helsing to live up to, McCree’s set himself a high bar.

There’s a nice little metaphor in there too, if you’re prepared to work for it. McCree’s whole deal is that he’s atoning for past sins. Putting right what once went wrong, Quantum Leap style. Almost as if his old life is dead, but still following him around wherever he goes, like a zombie.
