6. Moira - Banshee
While it’s not mathematically in the centre, Moira’s Banshee skin marks middle ground between the three uninspiring ones and the five great ones.
On its own merit, the skin is well designed, being the right level of spooky and creepy for a Halloween event. It just feels like it perhaps misses the mark of her fabulous Eireannach skin.
Like Widowmaker, she feels like one of the characters most malleable to a Halloween event. But again, this skin plays it a little safe. There certainly was more thought poured into this skin than the spiderwebs stuck onto Widowmaker’s thighs, but Blizzard could’ve taken a bigger risk. Outside of the box thinking backfired on Doomfist, but it paid off handsomely for others on this list.
As one of the newer members of the Overwatch stable, in some ways it makes sense that they’ve given Moira a skin that stands out so much. The Banshee skin is memorable, but it doesn’t necessarily feel in line with her biotic powers the way something like a sorceress would be. Tapping into the character might have been less attention grabbing, but might have made more of a connection.
