PES 2019: 10 Tips To Play Like A Boss
4. Use Low Crosses More Than Lofted
Again, scoring powerful headers in PES 2019 is quite the challenge. Crosses with too much height on them are difficult to convert with any power, and heading in general feels a bit floatier than it has in recent entries to Konami's series. This is why you'll benefit more from using low crosses.
Drilling a ball into the box wreaks havoc with the CPU's thinking. They rarely react with enough speed to stop a shot on goal, and players seem better with their feet on the whole.
Naturally, this isn't the case with some of the taller forwards in the game, or the world's best. For example, Cristiano Ronaldo is going to be good no matter what he does, but not everyone has the skill and poise CR7 does. When playing as a lesser-skilled team (this writer is currently locked in Master League as Rangers, and Alfredo Morelos loves a side-footer), low crossing is the best route to goal.
This becomes super-critical when playing against the best teams. You're more likely to flummox their defence and beat the keeper from close range if when attackers are crashing the box, you triple-tap the cross button and they meet it sweetly.
