7. Battlefield Hardline

Why Everyone Wants To See It: Because lots of people love the Battlefield series, but lots of people also resent shelling out for a game that's basically glorified DLC and not at all worth the same price as a core Battlefield game. Hardline received solid reviews upon release even if critics made it very clear that it wasn't a "vital" entry into the series, and unsurprisingly, many decided to give it a miss on that basis. But as a free game? The fast-dying online community for the title would be revitalised in the short term and players would get to mess around with a game they were never going to by anyway. How Likely Is It?: With so many high-profile FPS games on the way such as Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Star Wars: Battlefront, it seems unlikely that this one will be arriving anytime soon. Perhaps it could show up a month or two before Battlefield 5's Christmas 2016 release, but by then any remaining interest for Hardline may have evaporated entirely. 4/10
