One of the best features introduced in Sun and Moon was Pokémon refresh, which allowed you to interact with each one of your absolute boys in a way never previously seen in the franchise. You basically got to play with them like you would a real pet, and given how inventive Nintendo have been thus far with the joy cons, expanding on this feature is an absolute must.

Brush them, ruffle their hair, little tickle under the chin, make them feel as real as we all wish they were.

It’s not all cosmetic though, if you’ve not used this function it does provide you with a host of cool bonuses based on how strong the bond you have is and how happy they are. It should be a far more important part of the game than it has been in the past.
