Look, I know Niantic and Game Freak are not the same company and they’re not using compatible software or probably even financially inclined to collaborate, but for pure gameplay benefits they’d be mad not to.

Pokémon Go opened up the world to Pokémon again, and did it by opening up Pokémon to the world.

It was a gaming phenomenon, and if the Switch can harness even a fraction of that popularity it’s a no brainer. Even if it’s just something as simple as Pokémon you catch on one that can be traded across to the other, or the app hosting outdoor events for the game, there’s a world of possibility.
