One thing Sun and Moon didn’t do all that well was the patented Pokémon post-game.

Once you’d finished the main storyline you could go after the Ultra Beasts and… that was it really. Where in previous generations the main story has only felt like half the game, the Switch has the potential to open up a regularly updated world that can, in theory, never stop growing.

Constantly updating with new areas, new adventures, or just like they did with Go, triggered catching events. All the biggest games now come with additional DLC, and given the number of stray islands floating around Kanto there’s a whole world of possibility for post-game fun times.
