Pokémon Sun & Moon: 10 Leaked Rumours You’re Not Supposed To Know
5. The Sun & Moon Logos Aren't Actually As Simple As They Appear
The logos for the new games have been widely accepted as nothing more than attractive versions of a sun and a moon in most circles, but one theory suggests there's more to these than meet the eye. Imgur user arrmarket posted an image explaining a theory that the logos are actually representing perspectives on a solar and lunar eclipse.
Check out a snippet of the image above, or the real thing linked in the previous paragraph to see for yourself. In short, what these images suggest is that the hollow, outlined parts of the logos need to be considered from a different viewpoint to really be understood. In the case of the sun, it suggests a solar eclipse is being shown via sunlight pouring around a central moon, and for the moon it offers the theory that the whole thing represents an earth shadowed by a lunar eclipse.
This is a really cool theory, albeit one that doesn't have a concrete idea of exactly what this could mean for the games. However, given the series' penchant for having dastardly teams of bad guys with hair-brained schemes for world domination, one can absolutely envisage an eclipse-themed plot featuring the new antagonists.
Whether a Mr. Burns clone will be leading the team is still 50/50 at this point...
