Sony’s kneejerk reaction to the Xbox 360’s achievement system has become something of a staple throughout the last two generations.

They added to the overall idea with a platinum trophy, which showcases base completion of a game and many players, including myself, fell in love with the idea of achievement hunting. In light of that, this next tip is for us.

When scrolling through your library, perusing the many games that might be close to completion, you may notice a few secret trophies. Often tied to story-related missions, spoilers or genuine secrets in the game, these trophies can be difficult to figure out.

This can become even more frustrating when a hidden trophy is missable, meaning you’ll have to play through the game again to get it. Lucky for you the PlayStation 4 has a workaround for this. Select the trophy with X, then press square to reveal the secrets.

It's that simple, though It doesn’t end there. You can also use the options button to pull up a web search for the trophy. That way you won't have to pull out your laptop or phone to find a guide for that last pesky trophy.
