4. Use Your Vita As A Second Controller

Following on from remote play and the added benefits for the ten people who own a PS Vita, comes our next trick. You can actually utilise the PS Vita as a second, albeit slightly weirder-to-hold, controller that acts very similarly to a Dualshock 4.

Similar in the sense that, even though it won’t have support for the intricate motion controls, you will be able to utilise the touch pads on the back. This is pretty handy if you’ve bought a Vita for the huge backlog of free PS+ games and don’t want to shell out the fat stack for a new Dualshock 4. It’ll also give new meaning to giving your little brother the bad controller.

It’s not that using the Vita as a controller is bad, per se, it’s just much less natural to hold than the original controller. A different layout for a different purpose which you’ll have to get used to. But why not, if you’ve got it laying around gathering dust and you want to play co-op or better yet, use it to farm a certain achievement, you’ve now got the tools to do such a thing.
