3. Original PSVR Headset Will Be Compatible

Again, while the Wired interview didn't go into too much detail outside of the base hardware specs and some of the graphical features the PS5 will be accommodating, Cerny did go into a bit of detail on PSVR. While it's too early for the company to talk too much about their plans going forward, he did reiterate that VR was an important part of the Playstation family and, more importantly, that the already-released headset will be compatible with the new console.

That's an essential move, as it's the early adopters who made the PSVR such a success, and it would have been a lot to ask owners not only to pony up for a brand new console, but a new VR headset.

That said, while he was coy about it, it seems inevitable that there'll be an updated model released alongside the new console. Not only is there space to boost the specs of the original headset, but to streamline its design, as it's currently a total mess of wires.
