PS5: 10 Ways To Blow PS4 Out The Water
4. PS Now Being An Essential Service
PS Now has been around for a little while, but it’s only with the recent price drops and additions of games like Grand Theft Auto V and God Of War that it’s really tried to get some footing. Going into the next generation, it needs to build on that in a big way.
Xbox has been thoroughly trounced this generation in most ways, but through Game Pass, they’ve put a real marker down. Like it or not, the future of gaming is likely going to be digital. Streaming will become an ever larger piece of modern gaming, and while PS Now has made some good strides these last few months, it still needs to catch up to Game Pass.
The likes of Gears 5 and The Outer Worlds have been included in Game Pass at launch, and there’s a considerable roster of games on there at a reasonable price. PlayStation has a huge back catalogue of games, massive exclusives and lots of in house studios, yet PS Now isn’t running away with it.
They have all the ingredients for a perfect streaming platform, but right now, they haven’t quite put them all together.
Hopefully with the PS5, they’ll finally get it right.
