PS5: 5 Must-Buy Launch Games (And 5 That Will Suck)

2. Must Buy: Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Look, there's no denying that the Call of Duty franchise could do with an overhaul, but they continue to sell well, and for the most part, are a lot of fun. That latter point definitely applies to Black Ops Cold War, a game which definitely impressed during the PS5 showcase when some gameplay footage from the single player campaign was shown off.

That's unlikely to be very long based on past experience, but the PS5 should give Activision the opportunity to showcase what this console can do.

As the title suggests, it takes place during the Cold War in the 1980s, and while battling villainous Russians is nothing new for a shooter like this one, there are opportunities with a story like that which should ensure this is a fun ride (it's certainly a better choice than some sort of future, sci-fi setting).

Most of you will care more about the multiplayer side of things, of course, and with new game modes, more extensive customization, and new map dynamics and elements all confirmed, the PS5 has a first-person shooter which while not a Resistance or Fallout, still has a tonne of potential.
