PS5: 7 Games We Need As Soon As Possible

God of War's soft reboot redefined one of the most recognisable series on PlayStation, with a masterful story that changed Kratos forever. A beautiful tale about a father reconnecting with his son while struggling with his own demons from the past, the ending left the door wide open for a sequel.

And if the comments of director Cory Barlog are anything to go by, that sequel is coming.

After the launch, he made comments about ideas for multiple God of War sequels, but for now, we'll just stick with the first one. It seems like the story will focus a lot more on Atreus next time around, and whether or not destiny can be rewritten.

The only thing we're not so sure about is a quick release.

God of War came out in 2018 and a sequel coming out a year or three later seems a bit ambitious. Then again, Barlog did say he wanted to speed up the development process so maybe the next entry is closer than we think.

Hopefully it brings along another amazing opening fight, because nothing has come close to the one between Kratos and the Stranger from God of War's opening hours.
