PS5: 7 Games We Need As Soon As Possible
2. Marvel's Spider-Man Sequel
Since the first Spider-Man followed a more unknown villain in Mister Negative, the second could bring out the big guns with one of the most iconic villains in Spidey history: Venom.
The ending of Spider-Man sets this up, with Norman Osborn entering a secret laboratory where players learn Harry is being kept in stasis with some black goo all around. The reveal comes as a shock to players, since the story makes multiple reverences to Harry being in Europe.
Then there's also the possibility for Osborn to take a villainous turn as it's no secret that he typically becomes the Green Goblin at some point. Insomniac can, of course, change this and take a whole new direction. Superhero games have been known to do so and one would only have to look at TellTale's Batman as their story kept playing with the known continuity to keep players on their toes.
Whatever the story may be, we hope a follow-up will flesh out combat some more. While fighting is a whole lot of fun in the original, it did get repetitive as the game kept going.
Bringing in Miles Morales for a different style of fighting could do the trick, which would work perfectly with some of the story threads from the DLC.
