Of all the current games Sony has announced, only Ghost of Tsushima remains a mystery. While The Last of Us Part 2 and Death Stranding have both featured major blowouts this year in time for their impending releases, Ghost of Tsuhsima has remained absent, allowing rumours to go wild about it being a PS5 game.

Those reached a head a few months ago when it was leaked that the title had indeed been pushed back to launch alongside Sony's next console, and would be re-unveiled when the hardware is shown off in 2020.

That line of thinking was seemingly made redundant when Sony executives confirmed Ghost would come to PS4 after all - but that doesn't also mean it can't drop on PS5 as well.

At this point, the launch date for Sucker Punch's game has to be summer 2020 at the earliest. Sony historically spreads out its exclusives, and with Death Stranding in November and The Last of Us in February, this title would be dropping mere months before the next console - and that's assuming it'll be ready for then.

Consequently, with it being so close to the PS5's launch, Ghost is locked in to be a cross-gen title.
