6. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

The original Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was something of a diamond in the rough. In many ways it was the first game to implement some then-cutting edge technical features, but they were ones which evidently couldn't be realised as well as the developers hoped, as an unmovable release date took precedent over quality.

Still, it gained its following, and now a sequel is in development promising to be just as ambitious. This time the devs aren't going to let an arbitrary date hold them back though, and have very recently delayed the game from Q1 2020 until later in the year.

Now that it's going to coincide with the release of next-gen machines, there's a good chance the game will not only be retooled to polish the current issues, but to take advantage of the more advanced tech. The only announced consoles so far are PS4 and Xbox One, but the studio would be shooting itself in the foot if it didn't also capitalise on the PS5 hype.
