6. It's Not Happening This Year
Unfortunately for all of you ready to start the next generation, it's looking like it won't happen until 2020 at the very earliest.
This makes a lot of sense when you consider how many titles there are that have yet to be released. Games like The Last of Us and Cyberpunk look like they're going to bookend this generation, and they don't look like they'll be releasing anytime soon.
Unless of course they release on both consoles at the same time.
This doesn't necessarily mean that the PS5 won't be shown off this year though. We're likely to start seeing it just before the year ends, before the big marketing push happens at the start of the year.
Although some may be upset at the wait, this means that we get to savour the last slice of this generation just that little bit longer.
The next point on the list might make you grateful...
