In one of the most surprising and positive stories in recent memory, developers IO Interactive managed to separate from corporate overlords Square Enix, and maintain ownership of the Hitman IP.

It means going forward they're essentially an indie studio with a triple-A franchise, and as the first "season" of Hitman went down a storm (seriously, it's the best in the series by a country mile), IO are going all out with more weapons and better level designs for the sequel.

So far they've shown off an F1 racing circuit where 47 can take out targets using everything from sniper rifles to rigged car jacks to even whilst masquerading as a giant fluffy team mascot, but I have a feeling that's just the tip of the iceberg (of death).
