34. Vulcan Raven (MGS)

A chilly underground warehouse is the stage for Snake's epic fight against Vulcan Raven, who comes to the party packing a gigantic Vulcan cannon mini-gun, and he ain't afraid to use it! The battle sees Snake sneaking around the level's boxes to avoid Vulcan's enormous line of fire, with mines and Nikita missiles being easily the easiest way to take Vulcan down without the risk of directly engaging him. It's a simple but enjoyable fight and pretty much the calm before the storm that is the game's intense finale. It's not one of the series' most memorable battles, but unquestionably solid (sorry) all the same, and it gives Raven a fittingly grim send-off, as he ends up being eaten by his own ravens, much to his apparent delight. Lovely.
