Ranking EVERY Main Resident Evil From Worst To Best

7. Resident Evil 3 Remake

Resident Evil Franchise
Capcom

We all know by now that Resident Evil is at its strongest when the franchise leans into the survival horror roots of old. Sure the more action focused entries in the series have sold more, but that really does feel like Capcom are selling the soul or Resident Evil.

However with this latest Remake, Capcom have finally struck gold and perfected what an action focused Resident Evil can be, yes this is an action focused survival horror game and it works. All the familiar faces are back, but with a fresh coat of pixels, Raccoon City is almost completely how players left it way back in 1999, but Nemesis is more terrifying than ever.

This T-Virus infected meat pile held together by staples and a bin bag makes Mr X look like the training Tyrant.

2020 Nemesis has a Flame Thrower, Rocket Launcher, the ability to enhance other zombies and well, he can run! Oh and yes, he still shouts that famous catchphrase, but it is more chilling than ever.

Thankfully Jill has more than enough to counter this Undead Terminator, but when it comes down to it, the combat roll is all players will need. And don’t worry, diehard fans of knife runs, this game does away with durability and promotes it to a fully fledged weapon once again.

This might not be the masterpiece that Resident Evil 2 Remake was, but it surely is up there in terms of RE games and in the survival horror genre as a whole. Now we can trust Capcom to go down the action route again if they so choose. This remake might also feel short and sweet, but this imagining or Jill Valentine's Last Escape is the best we’ll ever get.
