Ranking Every Xbox One Exclusive From Worst To Best
7. Halo 5: Guardians & Master Chief Collection
Master Chief has had a rocky relationship with the Xbox One. The Master Chief Collection, meant as a commemorative pre-meal appetizer for the upcoming Halo 5, united all of the Spartan's past triumphs under one banner with the aim of providing the ultimate suite of multiplayer options past and present.
343 Industries achieved exactly that on launch in 2014, though the celebrations quickly turned to protest when it emerged that the compendium's matchmaking system was borderline broken. 343 later fixed the issues, apologised profusely for the upset and doubled down on ensuring Halo 5's launch went off without a hitch.
As luck would have it, Guardians was lauded as a technical achievement upon release a year later, catapulting Master Chief into true next-gen with stunning visuals and solid performance, though garnered almost universal derision for its poorly written, regressive story.
As for multiplayer, it was and remains to be one of the most feature-rich online shooters of this generation, filled to the brim with modes, weapons, maps and (earnable in-game) cosmetics.
