Morpheus may have stated that The Matrix was something you "have to see for yourself", but I'm saying the same about Thumper.

One of the more cerebrally-affecting titles of the month, you can also nab this on PS VR (providing you're confident you can hold onto your lunch). See, Thumper is described as a "rhythm violence game", a moniker that stems from the idea of controlling a beetle-like creature on a track, as some positively thunderous instrumentation rattles away underneath.

You'll dodge attacks from unseen foes, build up meters to take down bosses - all whilst being completely assaulted by an industrial techno score that just burrows its way into your brain. If you liked the 'in the moment' nature of Hotline Miami's sound and fancied yourself as a Guitar Hero/Rock Band Expert, give this a shot.
