Ranking October 2016's Video Games From Worst To Best
9. World Of Final Fantasy
Cuter than a Moogle's tea party, World of Final Fantasy is pretty much "Kingdom Hearts does Final Fantasy with a dash of Pokémon".
Playing as brother/sister combo Lann and Reynn, you're thrown into the cross-dimensional realms of every past Final Fantasy game, complete with summon-able cameos from everyone including Cloud, Tidus, Sephiroth, Lightning - even the original "Warrior of Light" protagonist from the very first FF.
Combat is turn-based (thank the gods!) and a huge portion of the game involves capturing 'Mirages': Pokémon-style creatures you'll need to fight, acquire and train - before stacking them on your head for all sorts of buffs and combinations.
World of Final Fantasy feels like a love letter to both the games themselves and the fans for sticking around for almost 30 years. It's loveable from the word go, but when you've got options like reverting the look of the menus to that of Final Fantasy VII's, it highlights a ton of fan service pointers that are most appreciated.
