If you were keeping a close eye on RDR 2 at launch, you'll know that it features the great, great grandfather of GTA V's beloved psychopath, Trevor Phillips, but Rockstar's latest also features another cameo from their world-conquering crime epic.

After completing the main story, a bunch of eagle-eyed fans noticed that the voice actor for GTA V's Michael was listed in the credits, leading to him taking to Twitter to reveal that he was indeed in the game, but wasn't totally sure where.

As expected, the search was immediately on, with players wandering around the open world looking for the character, essentially becoming that guy who keeps shouting "Gavin!" around town.

While a whole bunch of evidence popped up on the internet, some of which suggesting he was discovered as a burnt corpse and others finding a photo featuring a character who looked strikingly similar to the GTA counterpart, apparently all of these have been debunked.

The actor's voiceover work was apparently cut, but he insists his character remains - out there... somewhere... wandering in the wilderness.
