With that said, while multiple playable characters are a sure-fire bet, it's been rumoured that the star of the first game isn't actually one of them.
It might be the right decision too, as seeing John's actions through the eyes of someone else might make players less sympathetic to his cause, giving Rockstar the chance to show how off the deep end the character was before the events of the first game.
There's still the chance that the developers will let fans play as John at some point during the campaign, but it'll probably only be for a select few moments to tie this game into the original.
