It seems likely that Morgan is struggling to see an upward direction for their lives of crime with the law chasing them across the country, all while Dutch, in almost dogmatic, preacher-like manner, wants to assure his "children" that he's got everything under control.

This will most certainly end up being a major bone of contention between the two, and though we know it won't end with Morgan killing Dutch, it'd be pretty damn surprising if the pair weren't thoroughly estranged by game's end.
