Red Dead Redemption: Who Should Play Who In A Live Action Adaptation

18. Mary-Beth Gaskill - Jessica Brown Findlay

Red Dead Redemption 2 Jon Bernthal
Channel 4

The Character: Mary-Beth is the one member of the Van Der Linde Gang that really shouldn't be there. You can understand how Javier, Bill, John or Lenny fell into such a crazy group of reprobates, but how does someone as kind-hearted as Mary-Beth wound up sleeping two tents down from Micah Bell?

The interesting thing about her character is how caring and bashful she is throughout, and even during the worst of times, she remains one of the few characters clinging on to hope and kindness.

Like Tilly, she gets away from the Van Der Linde Gang before the Pinkertons descend, and in the game's closing credits, she's finally living her dream of becoming a writer.

A happier ending couldn't happen to a better person than Mary-Beth. Well, maybe Tilly.

The Actor: Jessica Brown Findlay has been in quite a few films and series since she first burst into the mainstream in Downtown Abbey many moons ago. Since then she's had pivotal roles in Black Mirror, Brave New World and the Morrissey biopic England Is Mine.

JBF is an incredible actress - one who could carry the innocent and naive charm needed for a convincing Mary-Beth.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
