Resident Evil 3: 10 Major CHANGES From The Original

4. No Multiple Endings

In the original, decisions made during the Action Choice mechanic would eventually lead to different endings. Well, not so much different endings as different edits of the same ending.

Honestly, depending on how much you cared about one Barry Burton, there weren't any major changes between them.

One set of choices would see Jill finding a helicopter complete with a pilot ready to fly her out of Raccoon City. The other set would remove that helicopter from the game, and a scene would play where the exact same helicopter flies in just in the nick of time. Barry is piloting that new one, and they have two whole seconds of extra dialogue spliced into the original ending scene.

With the removal of the Action Choice mechanic, people were wondering exactly where that would leave those multiple endings.

On the cutting room floor is apparently the answer. The developers have confirmed these are gone, replaced with one canon finale that future games and remakes can build on.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
