Resident Evil 4: All Ports Ranked Worst To Best
1. Wii
At first, the Wii version of Resident Evil 4 feels the same as the originals ave for the fact that the player's actions are faster. However, the motion controls completely transform the gameplay. Due to the precision of the Wii Remote, the player can shoot targets faster and more accurately.
Instead of pressing two buttons to stab Ganados with your knife, you can utilise it by holding C and swiping with the controller, which is much faster. Although this sounds like a minor addition, it leaves a massive impact on the game. Even though this weapon was too slow to be effective in the original, it's guaranteed to save your skin repeatedly now you can whip it out with a flick of the wrist. By using the blade often, you can save a ton of bullets, which is crucial while playing on Hard Mode since the monsters and bosses absorb damage like zombified sponges.
The later ports may have smoother graphics but they pale to the Wii version, purely because of the motion controls. The option to play RE4 conventionally by using the Wii's Classic Controller is there but the Wii Remote allows the player to have a far more immersive experience.
