5. Rebecca Chambers
Players were first met plucky S.T.A.R.S. medic Rebecca Chambers in the first Resident Evil game when she was found by Chris Redfield. She could even become playable for a short section of the game under the right circumstances.
She was caring, intelligent, and even offered some moments of levity. It shouldn't be a shock that she would become a fan favourite character.
It was only natural, then, that she would be given the starring role in Resident Evil 0, a prequel which told the story of Bravo team's mission prior to Alpha team's arrival at the mansion.
All of Rebecca's' endearing qualities that fans adored about her in the first game were present here. Moreover, she was shown to be just as capable of a survivor as the rest of Resi's rogue's gallery of heroes.
It's been too long since Chambers last made an appearance in the series - excluding the Easter Egg in the Resi 2 remake.
