Resident Evil: The Good, The Bad, The Camp

10. Big Guns

resident evil operation raccoon I am not a munitions expert, so I cannot tell you the exact specifications of the guns in the Resident Evil games, but you do end up with some pretty awesome specimens. I know at least in the early games you started off with a knife and pistol. Part of the fun of the game was gaining bigger and better guns in your walkthrough. For example, Claire in Resident Evil 2 got a knife, a pistol, a bow gun, grenade launcher, machine gun and electrical spark thing. You had to manage your ammo strategically. It tickled the brain. In the later games from Resident Evil 4 onwards there has been bigger and sexier weapons such as sniper rifles and hand grenades. There are all sorts of guns that I cannot name and ammo seems easier to come across. It is like the games have switched to action games and are no longer survival horror. That doesn't make them less enjoyable, just different.
