Resident Evil: The Good, The Bad, The Camp

9. Monsters and Bosses

20.03.2013bosses 2 The quality and ease with which you can get past monsters and bosses varies from game to game. The trend has been over the years to harder bosses. If you contrast how laughably easy it is to kill the mutated Birken at the end of Resident Evil 2 to how much effort and time it takes to kill the bosses and bad guys in Resident Evil 6, you will see how much harder monsters have been made. The ordinary monsters of the movie are much harder to kill - the zombie equivalents - than previous zombies and frequently you are required to wipe out an onslaught of 10 mutants and you must kill them all or you cannot progress to the next level. Compare this to the ducking and weaving of zombies in the first few films.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
