8. Barry Burton
Barry Burton is a legend of Resident Evil. He spouted some of the most inane dialogue in the series - "I know that you Jill, the Master of unlocking!" and "You were almost a Jill Sandwich!" when Jill nearly gets squashed in Resident Evil 1 by a descending ceiling. Under duress by Albert Wesker to sabotage the STARs mission (Burton thinks Wesker is holding his family hostage) he finally rebels against the dark one and helps Jill out on her mission (that is if you don't kill his character in the process of playing the game). Barry, for his pink overcoat, bushy facial hair and stupid sayings is a Resident Evil icon. And after he makes a brief cameo in Resident Evil 3, he is thrown in the bin and we have no closure as to his whereabouts or what he is doing. His absence is painful.
