Sea Of Thieves: A Pirate's Life - 10 Reasons You Need To Play

5. New Enemy Types Populate The World

If battling hordes of skeletons and sharks has grown a little bit tiresome over your time on the seas, worry not because this latest update adds an assortment of new enemies to the fray. Three to be exact.

Firstly, sirens now populate the already shark-infested waters. Appearing in large groups with frightening speed and agility, running into these foes will make you think twice about exploring shipwrecks. They're deadly close-up and at rage and can heal.

However, it's the Siren Leaders you'll need to watch out for.

Then there's Phantoms. Damned souls of fearsome pirates, they use hit and run tactics and teleportation to gain an upper hand in combat. They're only vulnerable to damage when they appear. But time your attacks well and you can stun them. Whenever you hear ghostly whispering, Phantoms are nearby.

Lastly (and by no means least), there are the crab-like Ocean Crawlers. Three varieties of these tough foes roam the seas: the Eel-ectric that has shocking electrical powers, the brutish but slow Crab, and the burrowing Hermit that can excrete deadly spores. Ocean Crawlers will work together, so be on your guard the next time you set sail.

The seas are now even more dangerous.
