5. Sailing With Friends Is Incredibly Fun

Sea Of Thieves Friends
Rare

When this game works, it really works, that's for sure. If you can find three real-life pals to join you with microphones, setting sail on the open seas is a whole lot of fun.

The more monotonous aspects of the game - namely the repetitive quests - are less problematic and it's easier to just immerse yourself in the fun of goofing around with your friends for a few hours.

Maybe one of your team will forget to anchor down, sending the fleet into a frantic panic as shore approaches, and maybe you'll lock a friend in the brig as punishment. Maybe you'll stay in character over the mic, doing your best - and silliest - pirate impression.

Rare is, admittedly, leaving a lot of the hard work to players themselves, but at least the opportunity is there, and the game is immeasurably more entertaining when played with friends.
