5. Intuitive Interface

One of the most important aspects of a game like this is its ease of use; there's no point having all of these intricate city-shaping features if they're a pain to use them. Thankfully, SimCity's exceptionally well-designed UI is all about navigating your way around the vast array of options in the most simple way possible. Though a few times I had to think about where to find a certain option, for the most part it follows common sense and you shouldn't have any trouble. Also, some of the more intricate details - flow sheets on how your financials are holding up, for one - can be tucked away and pulled out at whim, ensuring the interface never becomes too cluttered. The game gives you all the help you could possibly need - as is sure to frustrate some players - and my only real issue with the interface is that it sometimes offers arbitrary limitations about where you can build, but then this is true of just about every simulation game ever made.
