4. Short Campaign

As mentioned above, it's really the heft of the sidequests that makes up the meat of Dragonborn's gameplay rather the campaign itself which, I have to say, is more than a little underwhelming, even for the lowered expectations of mere DLC. A lot of the problem isn't just with the length of the story, but the scale of it; though the game has you wandering Skyrim to destroy trinkets that aid Miraak's power, it rushes you through this far too quickly, never giving you a moment to simply stop and soak in the epic atmosphere, unless of course you decide to take it upon yourself and diverge from the campaign to do some sidequests. The main quest should be a rewarding sit in of itself, but the story's keenness to edge itself out of the way in 7 or 8 hours prevents that epic, statesque feel, and what should be a lengthy, tough journey, really feels pretty damn brisk in all honesty.
