Sony At Paris Games Week: 7 PS4 Reveals We Want To See
1. A New IP
Sony have spent some of the run up to Paris Games Week readying fans for 'big game announcements'. The gaming industry is rife with sequels and remakes, but it's new IPs that really stand out.
So far, the PS4 has had an exceptional run of new IPs, from instant franchise-spawners like Horizon: Zero Dawn, to smaller, cult favourites like Until Dawn and Nioh.
There is a precedent for new IPs being revealed at Paris Games Week - Detroit: Become Human was shown off at the event for the first time in 2015, and a menagerie of VR titles received their first showings as well.
As PlayStation has been on a roll lately with introducing new IPs into their line-up, it seems like a good time to unveil one, especially after their lacklustre showing at E3 earlier this year, which mostly focused on games we already knew about.
There's a good chance that at least one of these announcements is going to be something we've never seen or heard of before. Sucker Punch haven't been heard from for a while...
