South Park: Every Game Ranked Worst To Best
2. South Park: The Fractured But Whole
As the follow-up to the incredibly popular and well-received "Stick of Truth", this game had a lot riding on its shoulders, and it lived up to that expectation - for the most part. There's plenty to love about it, as it improves many elements from its predecessor, but there's also a feeling of lacking that makes it not quite as special.
In "The Fractured But Whole", you play as the same "New Kid" from the previous game and find yourself enthralled in yet another ridiculous plot, this time involving time travel and superheroes.
Like the first game, it's full of ludicrous moments and rival factions vying for your attention, and it's a lot of fun.
The improvements on the game come from the gameplay as the classic one-turn based combat from the previous outing is given a new sense of motion. Now, you're tasked with moving around a grid with new challenges and requirements. Plus, you can include up to three members in your party, giving you the chance to involve all your favourite characters.
However, while the story is more coherent, it lacks the sense of spectacle the previous game had. It's far more predictable and relies heavily on continuity from the show rather than fresh ideas, which brings it down a little.
