Spider-Man PS4: 10 Most INFURIATINGLY Difficult Moments

4. Beating Doctor Octopus

Peter Parker's final showdown with his once-mentor Otto Octavius is haunting, tragic and gripping throughout. A battle between a genuinely innocent, if irreversibly corrupted, scientist and his student, it makes for a fitting finale to an undoubtedly great game. However, it is also an absolute nightmare to burn through first time.

Taking place on the top of Oscorp Tower, this fight kicks off without allowing players a second to catch their breath and does a great job in not telling them how exactly they're supposed to take this guy down. Octavius attacks so quickly and so ferociously that the first part of the fight is just trying to stay out of the way of the doctor's mechanical arms, which one hit from will absolutely pummel a player's health down.

On top of Octavius' insanely quick speed, the camera is permanently in a state of locking onto him rather than Spider-Man or the building, meaning that running into obstacles or off the whole thing entirely is a real possibility here.

This is the game's final boss fight so it's understandable that it's certainly one of the hardest, but the punishment for one wrong move here is just way too unfair to not be infuriating.
