3. Chameleon

Chameleon, despite being the first ever Spider-Man villain, is yet to really make a dent in the world of video games, or even film for that matter. It's a glaring error, and one that Insomniac would do well to address in the new title.
A master of espionage as well as disguise, Chameleon would make for a formidable adversary in any Spidey video game. The fact that he can so effortlessly impersonate a target of his choosing also means that players could see a few more twists along the way, provided Insomniac aren't afraid of using a little misdirection of their own.
Less known, perhaps, is the fact that the Chameleon is also the half brother of one Sergei Kravinoff - AKA Kraven the Hunter. It'd be great to draw upon this particular angle in a sub-plot of sorts, but if not, adding the Chameleon at least allows Insomniac to delve into the world of Marvel's spy books, and potentially even S.H.I.E.L.D. along with them.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
