As far as Spidey villains go, the Shocker has to be up there with the very best.
Sure, he's easy to make fun of, and that yellow and brown pattern isn't the most fashionable of supervillain outfits by any stretch of the imagination, but he's still iconic.
Created by Stan Lee and John Romita, Sr in 1967, Herman Schultz has dominated classic Spidey literature for decades, and has even made the odd foray into other mediums as well. He's something of a Spidey gaming staple, and his appearance in Insomniac's title will actually mark his sixteenth appearance in a Marvel video game.
Not bad going, for a guy who wears an inflated pincushion to fight his enemies. In any case, this one shot from the trailer shows that he'll have at least some part to play in the story, whether it be as a side-character, opening boss or otherwise.

John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
