Spider-Man PS4 New Trailer: 12 Things Everybody Missed
7. Miles In A Bigger Role
Since Miles Morales' introduction in 2011, he's fast become a fan-favourite character. As Peter's replacement in the Ultimate Universe and, for a time, the main Marvel one too, he's managed to win over fans old and new to become his own version of the wall-crawler - one that fans have been desperate to see on the page as much as off it.
And it seems as though they've gotten their wish with Insomniac's latest, with Miles gearing up to take a key supporting role throughout the game's main storyline. He, along with Peter and Aunt May, will be lending assistance to F.E.A.S.T. in the story's formative moments, and while it's clear that he's still a student of Midtown High, and a friend of Peter's at that, his heroic tendencies are yet to be established.
One would suspect that Insomniac are gearing up to give Miles the Spidey-suit at some point, whether at the end of this title or in the next, seeing as how we're currently seeing an older, more established Peter underneath the mask. That's brilliant to hear no matter how you look at it, and with the character gearing up for his own animated film too, it very much feels as though he's being positioned to take a more prominent role in the Spidey license going forward.
Could we be seeing a Miles-centric epilogue at some point?
