Another crushing inedibility about gaming in 2015 is that, even after we've parted with a sizeable chunk of money for the game, we'll still repeatedly feel the strain of Battlefront upon our already weary wallets and purses. Destiny recently dropped a £20 bundle of DLC on its players - almost half the cost of the original game - and fears are that the explosion of micropayments and other bundles will see Star Wars fans turned upside down and shaken violently for everything left in their pockets. EA have gone someway to alleviating this worry though, with news that the first post-release release will actually be free. Set as a precursor to some of the events in the Force Awakens, and released mere days before the film hits cinemas, it should hopefully explain some of story behind the planet of Jakku, and the conflict that has left it so barren and strewn with space junk. Whether or not this is a positive sign of the future pricing policy, or merely the old drug pusher's trick of getting everyone on board before sticking up the prices, remains to be seen.
